Congratulations to the Berkeley Heights Special Education Parent Advisory Group (SEPAG)!
BHPS was thrilled to recognize the Berkeley Heights Special Education Parent Advisory Group (SEPAG) at the most recent BOE meeting. This volunteer group received the 2026 Debbie Esposito Parent Leadership Award from SPAN Parent Advocacy Network. The award honors a parent advisory group that has demonstrated exceptional leadership, collaboration, and sustained engagement on behalf of the special education community in its district.
Two years ago, a pair of Berkeley Heights parents set out to transform the district’s special education parent advisory group. Today, that group is being recognized as a model for the state.
Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition! The Berkeley Heights Board of Education was proud to additionally honor the group with a resolution at its September 24th meeting.
