As we head into the weekend, I wanted to reach out and communicate the decision made at last night’s Board of Education meeting as it relates to our updated school calendar. After considering the parents and teachers preferences as well as multiple families who contacted the district and spoke at the meeting last night, along with what the Board felt was in the best interest of student’s education by allowing for the most in-school learning days, should the restrictions be lifted-the following calendar was voted upon and approved:
School will be held: April 6, 7, 8, 9 via remote learning.
April 10 schools will be closed for Good Friday
Classes will resume on Monday, April 13.
School will not be in session on the following Fridays: April 17, April 24, May 1, May 8, May 15, May 22.
The last day of school will be June 18.
Again, I apologize that in my desire to communicate quickly the other day, I may have caused confusion by not reiterating my prior statement that the Board of Education still needed to discuss and approve the final calendar.
