KINDERGARTEN AND NEW INCOMING FIRST & SECOND GRADE STUDENTS
2023-2024
Welcome to Berkeley Heights Public Schools new student registration. Registration is a two part process. First, the parent/guardian of a kindergarten or new incoming first or second grade student will enter the student information online. Second, the parent/guardian will schedule an in-person appointment to submit required documentation. The registration process for Kindergarten and new First Grade students in the Berkeley Heights School District will be available starting Tuesday, January 3, 2023. For more, click here.
Children who will reach 5 years of age on or before October 1st of the current year, will be eligible to attend kindergarten in September of the same year.
If you have a four-year-old child currently enrolled in our preschool program, then you do not have to register your child for kindergarten. An updated physical examination form, immunization form, and dental form must be submitted prior to the first day of kindergarten.
It is advisable to leave children at home anticipating the scheduled appointment may take 40 minutes.
