A Letter from Your Co-Presidents
Calling All MP Families! We need YOU!! We need your SUPPORT!!!
Let’s make this year the best year ever despite what challenges may come our way. For those of you unfamiliar with the PTO, we are a volunteer organization made up of parents, teachers, administrators and support staff who are all dedicated to the successful education of our children at Mountain Park. The PTO believes that it is so important we do all we can to enhance the learning environment of children as they TRULY ARE OUR FUTURE. It will take all of us working together to make it happen. Our goal throughout the year is to provide fun, meaningful, family entertainment with a focus on getting the children of Mountain Park moving and active.
Do you know what the PTO of your school provides? The PTO funds all enrichment programs at Mountain Park. From the planner your child uses every single day, to school gifts such as printers in all of the classrooms, the 5th grade end of year party, teacher grants, in class professionals, teacher appreciation events, author visits, cultural arts assemblies, playground equipment, such as chalk and dodgeballs, and safety/PPE supplies. These are all things that would not happen if the PTO did not have your support. Over the last two years, most fundraising events have been tabled, so we especially need your gracious donations in order to provide the very best experience for these kids! As if you need any more reason to donate, we are a 501(C)(3) tax exempt charitable organization so all of your donations are tax deductible.
We are looking forward to meeting families, parents, guardians, grandparents who would like to get involved this year. Everything we do is based on volunteers and we are looking to you to make a difference in the lives of our children. We encourage you to get involved. Come to a meeting. Read the minutes. Give us your thoughts. Jump in and help. Ask questions. Donate what you can. Everyone is busy, but finding a little time to help contribute to your child’s educational experience will be rewarding for you and for them!
As Helen Keller so eloquently stated…..”Alone we do so little; Together we can do so much”
Thank you in advance,
Tamara Greben and Carly Davis
