RESOURCE CURATION

Collection development is the means by which the IMC provides high quality information resources of print and non-print materials and provides access to electronic resources that will meet instructional requirements.

Through collection development, we also strive to meet the cultural and recreational needs of Governor Livingston High School.

Collection development is an ongoing process, undertaken by the library media specialist, with input from faculty, administrators, staff, and students.

I can't wait to collaborate with you and provide your students with whatever they need. Please click here to request an instruction session for your class.

The GL IMC is a place for instruction, but it's also a place where students come for recreation, faculty seek solitude, substitutes use as home base, and anyone who doesn't fit anywhere else finds a welcome place.

In addition to instruction, the IMC can host seminars, exhibits, promposals, special events, small concerts, escape rooms, and anything else you can imagine.

Our space can currently accommodate up to 80 people.

Sometimes the entire IMC is too large for students to search, and instead you need a curated list. For example, you could want a list of print and electronic resources that deal with the industrial revolution. Or perhaps you would like information on the 1970's or all of our non-fiction graphic novels.

Whatever the list is, we can not only curate it, but make it accessible in perpetuity on our website, so it's there for you every year.
