Library Hours: 8:15 - 3 p.m.
The mission of the library media center is to ensure students and staff are effective users of ideas and information. The library media center provides intellectual and physical access to materials in all formats. I provide instruction to foster competence and stimulate interest in reading, viewing, and using information and ideas. I work with other educators to design learning strategies to meet the needs of individual students.
Students: During this hybrid learning period, if you want to borrow a library book, please search the online catalog and email me at email@example.com . I will check the book out to you (up to 3 at one time) and put it in your English teacher's mailbox for distribution to you. When you want to return the book, you can return it to the library on your way into the building in the morning, or on your way out at the end of the school day. If you are completely remote at this time, I will put the book checked out to you for pickup in the designated vestibule pickup area for you. You can return it to the same location. Email me with any questions or concerns.
Students: If anyone owes books to one of the district libraries from last school year, there are several ways to return them. If you are a 6th grader you can either drop them off at CMS and I will route them to the proper location, or if you have a younger sibling you can send them to the appropriate elementary school with him/her. If you are a 7th or 8th grader you can drop them off to me in the CMS library, put them in the dropbox in the vestibule at CMS, or hand them to your English teacher. If you lost a book, please email me and we can discuss replacement options.
