    Dear Parents and Artists,

    Hello! I am Ms. Harpster, your art teacher. I want to tell you how excited I am to teach you during the upcoming school year. I am looking forward to a fantastic year teaching you to enjoy, appreciate, and create art.

    We will look at and talk about major works/styles of art, as well as create our own masterpieces using the elements of art and principles of design. We will study various artists, art styles, and cultures from around the world. The curriculum we will be utilizing aligns with the New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards for Visual Arts.
