Governor Livingston High School offers the following services to our students who are deaf and hard of hearing:
Core academic courses in the self-contained, resource center and general education settings, including opportunities for AP/Honors levels based on student qualifications.
A shared half-day program with Union County Vocational Technical Institute.
A Community-Based Instruction (CBI)/Structured Learning Experience (SLE) program offers a range of experiences designed to successfully transition students towards their individual post-secondary goals.
Highly qualified Teachers of the Deaf who instruct using Total Communication.
Certified Educational Interpreters for all resource center and general education classes, IEP meetings, guidance appointments, club meetings, assemblies, sports, and performances.
A speech and language specialist who provides an experiential, language rich environment while supporting and enhancing a comprehensive range of communication skills.
