Meet Mrs. Risorto & Mrs. Cassidy

Mrs. Risorto: Hi there and welcome to Fifth Grade!  This is my seventh year teaching in Berkeley Heights... My third year at Hughes!  A little bit about me... My family and I watch a lot of Disney movies and love playing with our puppy, Jordy.  She was named after an old Green Bay Packers player... We are big sports fans!  I am also a Yankee fan, but my husband is a Mets fan!  Some of my favorite things to do are go to the beach, listen to country music, and travel around the world!  My favorite books to read are any of the Harry Potter books.  My favorite subject in school is Math.  I can't wait to spend our year together!

Mrs. Cassidy: Hi fifth graders! I am so excited to be re-joining the Hughes School team and that I get to be your teacher this year! It is my second year teaching at Hughes. I previously taught at Woodruff Elementary School and Mountain Park for 12 years. One of my favorite things to do is spend time with my family. I have two energetic sons, Colton and Ryan. We love to kayak and paddleboard on our lake, ride bikes, and watch movies. I also enjoy gardening, working out, and reading. My favorite subject in school was Math but I love to teach Writing. I also love doing Science experiments! I'm looking forward to having a fantastic year!
