2020 GLHS Coffee House goes Virtual for final Coffee House of the Year.

We did not let COVID-19 interfere with this annual tradition, as Paul Dolce, Michael Ham and Timothy Papas were featured in this year's final coffee house of the year.
Paul played his keyboard and Mike and Timothy performed on their guitars.
In attendance were Mr. Nixon, Mrs. Oliveria, Mrs. Bartlett and Mr. Segear, as well as family members and friends of the performers.

TAP INTO Berkeley Heights
BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - On Friday, June 16, the Gov. Livingston Guitar Club provided entertainment for students, faculty and parents at the third annual “Celebration of the Last Final Exam."
Students finished their final exam on Friday at 12:30 p.m. and then had an option to go home or stay for an afternoon of musical talent and a free lunch. The performers consisted of GL students and faculty members.
Dave Peck opened the show with an harmonica melody, followed by Beryl Roman who sang James Tayor’s “Fire and Rain” and Whitney Houston’s “The Greatest Love of All”.
Olivia McKeon opened up for the students by performing on the keyboard and singing “Refuse” by Kevin Garrett and an original, “Time Stops Fast”.
Making their Coffee House debuts, were, Brett Obrien and Bridget Lynn singing “Everything has Changed” by Taylor Swift, Alex Ramos performed “Dos Gardenias”, by the Buena Vista Social Club in Spanish, Eden Aflalo playing the Ukulele and sung “Can’t Help Falling in Love with You” and Aidan Quigley performed Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Adam Cantor, Josh Mirabella, Andrew DelDuca and Jimmy Pitingolo brought the crowd to their feet with an Acapella rendition of “Irish Blessing”, followed by Billy Joel’s “For the Longest Time.” Bob Segear, the Guitar Club advisor performed “Ripple” on the guitar and vocals with Peck on the harmonica.
The Senior Class consisting of Jack Sullivan, Andrew DelDuca, Trevor Rittman and Sean Hannaford made their final coffee house appearances by playing a variety of original and cover tunes; “Make it wit Chu” by the Queens of the Stone Age, “Otherside” by the Red Hot Chili Pepers.
Each performer making their Coffee House musical debut were given a commemorative “Jammin @ GL” Guitar pick by Segear.
The event was supported by advisor Michele Morin of the Student Ambassadors and Segear, advisor for the TREND and Guitar Clubs. Prevention Links and the Berkeley Heights and Mountainside Municipal Alliances provided the lunch and refreshments.
