• Public Speaking and Theater 

    These classes are currently offered in both 7th and 8th Grades.
    In Theater, we explore Pantomime, Improvisation, basic acting skills and Vocabulary, and we act out The Miracle Worker.
    In Public Speaking, we explore Improvisation, Extemporaneous speaking and write a Graduation Speech that may be used to audition to speak at Graduation in June. We also work on interview skills and Podcasting.
    By the end of these courses, students will have delivered persuasive, informative and entertaining speeches. In addition, each student will learn basic acting skills, pantomime and improvisation. The goal of these classes is to foster self-esteem, build creativity and help students express their ideas with confidence and clarity.
