Meet Mrs. Fischer
My name is Jennifer Fischer and this is my eighth year teaching at Thomas P. Hughes Elementary School in Berkeley Heights. I earned my Bachelor of Science from Penn State University and my Masters of Education from The College of St. Elizabeth, including a teaching certification in Learning Disabilities. I live in Westfield with my husband, three teenage children, and a crazy golden retriever named Nittany. My son, Zachary, is a sophomore at the University of Michigan, my son, Noah, is a junior at Westfield High School, and my daughter, Kate, is a freshman at WHS as well. While I love to teach my students all subjects, I'd have to say that my favorite subjects to teach are writing and math. My 4th graders will quickly learn that I love to tell jokes (sometimes even good ones!), enjoy working together as a classroom family to solve problems, and think that reading each day is so important! I am looking forward to a fantastic fourth-grade year in 4FB!
Meet Ms. Bellardino
Hello! My name is Alexis Bellardino and this is my very first year teaching at Thomas P. Hughes! I graduated from Montclair State University where I earned my Masters in Teaching and k-12 special education certification. I currently live in Parsippany with my family and our very needy dog named Harley! I love to spend time at the beach and outside in the sunshine. I especially enjoy going on walks and hikes with my family. Although I will only have your child for a short time, I want to make a contribution that will last a lifetime. My goal is not only to support your child academically but socially and emotionally as well. I can't wait to have an AWESOME year together in 4th grade!
