    and

    Practice Recommendations.

    • Students entering AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, or AP Statistics MUST complete their summer assignments. (Link to AP Assignments)

It is recommended that ALL students practice their mathematics skills during the summer. The student will be assigned mathematics summer recommendations using Mathspace or Khan Academy according to the math course they are enrolled in for the 2017-18 school year (details below).

    • Students who will be using Mathspace next year will have setup an account in school before the end of June. For problems with Mathspace accounts please contact Mr. Ziobro (Dziobro@bhpsnj.org or 908-508-1923 x1710).
    • Students are able to set up their own account on Khan Academy following the directions included below.

These tools allow students to find additional practice, receive feedback, and find videos to explain concepts that they may have forgotten. The recommendations are designed to provide students with the opportunity to reinforce and review skills they have learned in the past. Please see the section below for additional information on the specific student recommendations.

Students entering Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2

Algebra 1. Students are encouraged to review the topics from CCSS 6-8. Teachers will place specific recommendations in the students Mathspace accounts with those topics that are foundational to Algebra 1. These will show up as adaptive tasks with a target date of early September. Students will have access to their teacher after the start of school and will be required to complete these tasks during the first weeks of school if not completed over the summer. Students will also notice a custom task that has sample questions from each of these adaptive tasks.
