Readers' Workshop

      Students will partake in a number of reading activities this year.  Small group instruction will take place during Guided Reading. Other times, students will be given a chance to choose books of interest individually for Reading Workshop.

Writers' Workshop

        Students will engage in Writer’s Workshop. The steps of this process include: Generating Entries, Choosing a Seed Idea, Nurturing a Seed Idea, Drafting, Revising, Editing, and Publishing. Celebrations will occur when the writing process is complete. Every student has a voice. It is through writing that this voice can be heard.
