Special Education Parent Advisory Committee Parents of students with special needs are encouraged to participate in a group to share ideas, provide input and foster a relationship of collaboration and open communication with the district Department of Special Services. GLHS Media Center – “Behavior Support in the Home”
Presented by Mrs. Melissa Mohr, School Psychologist
This workshop will provide parents with an introduction to evidenced-based approaches to behavior management in the home. Parents will learn about the underlying functions of oppositional and defiant behavior. Home based prevention and intervention strategies will be discussed. The presenter will also explore how such strategies are applied in the classroom and discuss a parent's role in school-based interventions.
