• Special Education Parent Advisory Committee Parents of students with special needs are encouraged to participate in a group to share ideas, provide input and foster a relationship of collaboration and open communication with the district Department of Special Services. Meetings will be moderated by the Director of Special Services and/or the Supervisor of Special Education.

    GLHS Media Center – “Helping Your Child with Anxiety at Home”

    Presented by Dr. Michael Selbst, Ph.D., BCBA-D, Behavior Therapy Associates

    Dr. Selbst will speak about childhood/adolescent anxiety and discuss with parents the ways in which they can build home environments that minimize stress and anxiety. Participants will gain an understanding of the factors contributing to anxiety and how to avoid common pitfalls that serve to maintain anxious symptoms.
