Mr. Sinko’s Physical Education Philosophy
The purpose of elementary physical education program is to provide an opportunity for students to participate in a variety of physical activities which develop the physical and mental skills needed to be successful in team and individual sports. An elementary physical education class teaches the importance of being physically active and instills a positive attitude toward fitness now and in the future.
It also focuses on integrating the social skills in everyday activities. Social skills include, respect, cooperation, communication, teamwork and sportsmanship.
I believe an enthusiastic and positive teacher who serves as a role model for physical fitness, is the most important component of an effective physical education program. A teacher must strive to positively impact each and every student and convey the importance of lifelong fitness to all.
