Clubs	For learning to be a life-long endeavor, opportunities must be provided for students to explore their interests and talents. Students are offered a number of clubs. Woodruff School's clubs include; band, strings, chorus, drama, "Happy Feet", knitting, computers, creative writing, yearbook, safety patrol, SDM, Wee Deliver and Student Council.
Student Council	Woodruff School prides itself on reaching out to others and demonstrating school spirit. The Student Council serves as the main vehicle generating this level of commitment. The Student Council selects a variety of service projects each year to reach out to the community. The fund raising that occurs teaches the children the importance of giving of themselves for others. The overwhelming feelings of school pride are embodied in the bi-weekly school spirit days as well as in participation of school-wide events.
Woodruff Reaches Out to the Community
	Woodruff School's community is unique in the partnership between the home and school. The PTO plays an essential role in supporting the curriculum and providing meaningful enrichment and cultural experiences through their Cultural Arts and In-school Professional programs. The PTO's financial support of the school ensures that each child is afforded the best possible education.

Communication is an important ingredient for the ultimate success of our school. Woodruff School communicates with the community using different communication vehicles. Bi-weekly the lunch menu is sent home where the lunches are listed and upcoming events for the two week period are listed. Information is sent to the home via letters, newsletters, articles in the local newspaper, and through the website. Communication at the district level is via the district newsletter, Channel 34, and at Board of Education meetings.

Woodruff School's principal creates a strong bond of partnership with the home by having an 'Open Door' policy to discuss any concerns or needs.
