AASA, The School Superintendents Association, has launched a new, groundbreaking initiative called More Than a Power Lunch: Building Networks to Support and Advance Women in School Leadership. The purpose of the project is to help mitigate the impact of social barriers women face in ascending to the top leadership positions within our school systems and to significantly increase the number of women seeking and becoming CEOs and superintendents of schools. Berkeley Heights' Judy Rattner is one of the 10 successful women leaders, representing a variety of roles within the education and business community, to participate in the national consortium. As per the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act (ABR) (P.L.2010, c.122), the Berkeley Heights Public Schools has posted its Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act grades on the school district's home page and to each individual school's webpage. Click the image to see more.
Potentially life-threatening food allergies continue to be a major health concern among our students. Avoidance of exposure is the best way to assure student safety, especially in the classroom. Please be aware of food restrictions within your child classroom. Allergy signs are prominently posted at the class door. Please assure that your child does not bring any known allergen foods for consumption within the classroom or have them available for class parties. Of course, your child may enjoy his or her favorite foods at lunch in the cafeteria.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Jill Fischer, RN
