This page is designed specifically for your Independent Project. In Eighth Grade you will create a PhotoStory presentation on something that is based on "The History of NJ" The project is due to Mr. Riley's DropBox 3 days before the end of the cycle. The PhotoStory should be saved
as a WMV file & as your last name IP. example - RileyIP

This document gives you an overview of what is required in your project. Use the color coded sections to help with time management. It will also be turned in as a self evaluation of your work	Grade 8 PS Rubric

Once you have completed your research you will need to Save Pictures

You will need approximately 25 pictures

Some will have more, some less

The pictures should illustrate your text or bullets from your research

Remember "Full Size" images work best

Pictures must be saved to your Grade 8 Folder
DO NOT copy and paste them into word
Right click on your picture
Select Save As
Save into your Computer 8 folder
No need to rename the picture

Import Pictures from your H drive
You will need 5 Title slides Typing here will show text on the screen 1 with your name 1 for the bibliography 3 (minimum) for section titles
Paste your research here If we hear your voice we should not see text Try to paste less that 20 words More than that and the slide takes too long to transition
Add motion to pictures Select the box that says "Specify Start..." Then move the "clear" box to the start and stop position on your photo You may preview your motion
To add music Select the first slide Select "Create Music" Can you add your favorite song? No, Sorry for this project you may not
You may navigate through the different choices Press play to listen Say OK to add
Make sure your volume is just above the W in low The music is use to "cover-up" the background noise from our classroom and make a smoother presentation
Saving Properly Select "Best Playback" Select Browse and choose your drive Make sure it is named properly Select next It will take about 5 min to save as a WMV file Upload both Photostory & WMV files to the dropbox
Upload both files to my dropbox The PhotoStory File is your project file The Final Draft is the .WMV file The .WMV file may look like a traffic cone or a film strip Remember If the File is NOT saved as your lastnameip then you WILL not get credit	The PhotoStory Icon The VLC Icon The WMV Icon

Suggested topics
When doing your research you may notice that some of the script headings do not "work" for your subject. You may "reword" or change those headings to better match your subject. You should have 5 headings for your project.
